A putting game to add to any betting scenarios on the course
Raazmahjaan, aka Raaz, was born in the summer of 2023 in Chicago by 4 guys (RN, MM, JS, JC) who love golf, the fun and pain of the world's greatest game, and wanted to add another element to golf betting since putting is often omitted. The whole goal here is to punish poor putting and help you actually make more putts. Many will hate you for introducing Raaz because they're scared or weak.
Raaz is totally malleable. You can amend or adopt any rules you want but its based off of two main rules: 3 putts and birdie putts left short.
Rule 1: 3 putts. Self explanatory. Also known as snakes.
Rule 2: birdie putts must have the WHOLE ball break the front plane of the cup. No exceptions. Aka brakes
Rule 3: Last one holding either pays up. Ties can be a shared payout or putting green playoff if needed.
We typically play $5 for each birdie left short and $5 for each 3 putt but you can get wild. Examples: short AND low side bird--double it. All 3 putts left short of the hole on a 3 putt, cough up $20 to each man on the spot. Or make putt values double every 6 holes or 9 holes...you get the idea. Make it soft or as painful as you wish. Just make them all count. You can even flip a coin on the 1st tee and say 'anyone holding last bird short pays both pots' or vice versa. The options are endless and entirely up to you.
Lastly, how you pay out is up to you. The loser can pay the pot and divide it up between others OR you can pay the total to each person. Let's say you owned 9 brakes at $5 each, that's either $45 total ($15/man) or $135 total with $45 to each. Totally up to you and the level of misery your group prefers.

Nope. You're on your own but learn how to hit the sweet spot. It makes a big difference on lag putting.
The defective item is you, first, and your putter second. No returns necessary unless you hate yourself. And regarding that, we can't help you. Putt better and do more drills.
While we don't condone the consumption of alcohol, for those who are of age we've found that a couple drinks definitely steadies the nerves. Especially if you're a couple holes from completing and don't want to be holding either bet, or worse...both.
This is a developing game and questions always welcome
